  • CTE Internship Program (COE)
    Any student interested in the CTE Internship for the 2018-2019 school year must have applications turned in by April 27th. 

    NO EXCEPTIONS! 

  • COE Students
    All COE students need to pick up their report cards from Mrs. Wilber and get them turned back in immediately. 

    Report Cards will not be accepted after May 3rd. 

  • English CLEP
    Seniors who are planning to go take their English CLEP please stop by Mrs. Green's room to get a permission slip.
  • National Honor Society
    There will be a National Honor Society meeting on Wednesday, April 25th at 7:30 AM in the library. If you are unable to attend, please see Ms. McArthur during 1st or 2nd lunch, or before/after school. Do NOT interrupt her classes.

  • ACT Incentive Form
    Juniors need to complete and turn in the incentive form to the counseling office by Thursday, April 26th. 
  • FCA
    FCA will meet every Thursday morning at 7:30 AM in the library.
  • Senior Awards Day
    Mrs. Cryer is preparing for Senior Awards Day. If you are receiving a scholarship you want presented, bring a copy of your award letter to Mrs. Cryer by May 1st. 
  • CTE Internship Program (COE)
    Any student interested in the CTE Internship Program (COE) for the 2018-2019 school year can pick up an application from Mrs. Wilber in room 229. Extra copies will also be available in the main office. Please make sure you meet all requirements listed on the application before applying. Applications must be returned to Mrs. Wilber by April 27th. No exceptions! Please see Mrs. Wilber if you have any questions.
  • Cafeteria
    April 30, 2018 - Last day to charge meals

    May 11, 2018 - Last day to accept personal checks for school meals.

    May 18, 2018 - Last day money can deposited into MySchoolBucks. 

  • Academic Performance
    Training will resume at lunch today and continue on Monday's and Wednesday's. This is an awesome resource come take advantage. 
  • Test Taking Skills
    Starting Monday the 12th, the R2 Center on Fort Polk will be offering Academic Performance Training during lunches in the library. Sessions will be Mondays and Wednesdays and will cover everything you need to need to know to improve your test taking skills. You can sign up in the Library or counseling office. Hope to see you there.
  • Students
    At lunch DO NOT order, bring, or have food from outside. Teacher please help us with this. No eating in class! Students are not allowed to sign out to go pick up food. 
  • Seniors
    Senior fees were  due by Friday, March 23rd. The fee is now $ 45.00 and will go up in increments of $ 5 per month for being late. 
  • Driver's Education Course
    This summer VPSB will offer a Driver's Education Course at the following school locations beginning May 7 at 3:30 pm - May 18, 2018.
    • Leesville
    • Anacoco
    • Hicks
    • Pickering

    The classes at Anacoco, Hicks, and Pickering will only be offered if numbers support class. Otherwise, students will attend at LHS. 

    Driving time will be scheduled during June.

    Students completing this course will earn 1/2 Carnegie unit. 

    All students need to attend a 10 day course; only one excused absence is allowed.

    Students must be 15 By July 1st. 

    The nonrefundable fee for this course is $300 and can be paid in cash or by money order and brought to Leesville High School between 8-2 by a parent or guardian as the paperwork must be signed in person. 

    If you are not a Leesville High School student please have your principal sign the application form. 

    The deadline to register is Friday, April 27th by 12:00 pm. 

    Packets may be picked up in the main office.

FAFSA Requirement

ACT

  • The ACT will be given on Saturday, April 14th.  Students who are registered should report to the lobby by the auditorium by 7:40 a.m.  Students should bring their admission ticket, ID, #2 pencils, and calculator.  Students will not be allowed to test without their admission ticket and ID.  Calculators should be brought home on Friday.  You will not be allowed to go to your lockers.  Please see Mrs. Cryer if you have any questions. 

Scholarships

  • The Beauregard Electric scholarship is available to seniors who parents are members of Beauregard Electric. Seniors must have a 2.0 to apply. Applications must be submitted by March 2.
  • The Vernon Veterans Memorial Park Scholarship is available to seniors who plan to enter some form of post-secondary education after graduation. Applications must be received by April 9. 
  • The Leesville High School Alumni Scholarship is available to seniors who have at least one parent who is an alumni. Applications are due to Mrs. Cryer by March 15.
  • The Leesville High School Watson Alumni Scholarship is available to seniors who plan to major in education and who have at least one parent  who is  an alumni. Applications are due to Mrs. Cryer by March 15. 
  • Seniors if you are planning to major in education, please see Mrs. Cryer in the counselling office. There is a scholarship she can nominate you for that is specifically for education majors. 
  • The Fort Polk Spouse's Club Scholarship is available in the counseling office. Applications must be received by March 15. 
  • The American Legion POST 387 Retired Military Scholarship is available to seniors. Applications must be received by April 1st. 
  • The 2018 Allstate Sugar Bowl Scholarship is available to seniors who are registered student athletes with LHSAA, have a 3.5 GPA, and a 24 on the ACT. Applications must be postmarked by March 5. 
  • The 2018 Coca Cola Scholarship Program is available to seniors who are registered student athletes with LHSAA, have a 3.5 GPA, and a 24 on the ACT. Applications must be postmarked by March 5. 
  • The 2018 Fuzzy Brown Scholarship Program is available to seniors who are registered student athletes with LHSAA and plan to attend a college or university in
    Louisiana. Applications must be postmarked by March 5.
  • The Louisiana Sheriff's Scholarship Program, Applications must be submitted to the local Sheriff's office by April 1, 2018.
  • The Pilot Club Memorial Scholarship. Applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2018.
  • The Steve Netherland Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to graduating seniors who plan to further their education after high school. Applications must be received by April 30, 2018.
  • The American Legion 387 Riders Group Scholarship is available to graduating seniors. One male and one female will be chosen for this scholarship. Applications must be turned in to Mrs. Cryer by April 10th.  
  • The Byrd Regional Scholarship is available to seniors with a 3.5 GPA, major in a field of health sciences, and plan to attend college in Louisiana. Applications are due back to Mrs. Cryer by March 9th. 
  • The Lions Club Scholarship is available to graduating seniors. Applications must be postmarked by April 11th. 
  • The National Association of University Women Scholarship is available to graduating seniors. Applications must be received by March 31.
  • The Kiwanis Club Scholarship is available to seniors who plan to enroll in college after high school. Applications must be received by March 23.
  • The Alpha Delta Kappa scholarship is available to seniors who plan to major in education. Applications must be postmarked by March 30.
  • The Rotary Club Scholarship is available to seniors who plan to attend college after high school. Applications must be received by April 19.
  • The Horatio Alger Scholarship is available to seniors. Applications must be received by March 23rd.
  • The Vernon Parish Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is available to seniors who plan to major in an area of business. Applications must be received by April 16th.
  • The AmeriSafe Scholarship is available to seniors in Vernon Parish with a 3.0 GPA who plan to further their education after high school. Applications must be submitted by March 23rd.
  • Omega Psi Phi Essay Scholarship is available to seniors who plan to enroll in college. Applications must be received by April 30th. 
  • The American Legion Unit 145 is available to seniors who plan to further their education after graduation. Applications must be received by May 31st. 
  • The Jubilee Park Scholarship is available to seniors who plan  to further their education. Applications must be received by April 20.
  • The Dustin DC Clemons Memorial Scholarship is available to seniors. The applications are due back to the counseling office by May 1st. 
  • The Vernon Baptist Association Scholarship is available to seniors who attend a church that belongs to the Vernon Baptist Association. Seniors must be majoring in a church related vocation and have a 2.5 GPA to apply. Applications must be submitted by April 13th to the counseling office. 
  • The Big Dog Bull Roping 4-H Scholarship is available to senior 4-H members with a B average. Applications must be turned in by April 20th to Mrs. Morrison in Room 107 or Mrs. Thomas in Room 135.
  • The Thad Bailes 4-H Vocational Scholarship is available to senior 4-H members who plan to further their education at vocational or other training schools. Applications must be turned to Mrs. Morrison in Room 107 by April 20th. 
  • The Vernon Parish Cattleman's Association Scholarship is available to seniors who plan to further their education in the cattle industry. Applications must be postmarked or hand delivered by April 16th.  
  • The Douglas Poe Memorial Scholarship is available to seniors with a 3.0 GPA, resident of Louisiana, and a background in agriculture and or livestock. Applications must be postmarked by April 16th. 
  • The Dunn Family Scholarship is for seniors with a 2.0 GPA and who plan to major in civil engineering at Louisiana Tech University. Applications must be received by April 16th. 
  • The LACD Scholarship is available to seniors who are attending a 2 or 4 year Louisiana college and major in the field of agriculture, natural resources, or environmental sciences. Applications must be received by April 13th. 
  • The Vernon Parish King Day Coalition is available to seniors with a 2.5 GPA who plan to attend college. Applications must be received by April 15th. 
  • The James and Julia Shade Scholarships are available to seniors who plan to major in a field of medicine, education, social service or areas promoting human welfare and social reform. Applications must be received by April 27th.
  • The GOALS Scholarship is available to seniors. Applications must be received by May 1st. 
  • The Leesville Ruff Ryders Scholarship is available to seniors with a 2.5 GPA and who plan to further their education. Applications are due by May 2nd. 
  • The Vernon Parish Voluntary Scholarship is available to seniors who plan to major in education and return to Vernon Parish to teach. Applications must be returned to Mrs. Cryer by Tuesday, April 24th.

  • Auxiliary 2018-2019

    Auxiliary Tryout packets are available in the office. 

    Any student that will be trying out for an auxiliary must already be enrolled at Leesville High School to participate.
