Announcements

  • SGA & PBIS Committee
    SGA and PBIS Committee will be hosting a Christmas Social on December 19th. for students who have not received and disciplinary actions this school year. There will be hot chocolate, cookies, games in the cafeteria and a movie in the auditorium. There will also be a tacky sweater competition, as well as a free jean day for students. Tickets for admission to the social will be distributed in your homeroom on the day of the social. You must have your ticket to be admitted. 
  • Toy Drive
    LHS met the goal of 250 toys with over 325 toys donated. Jeans may be worn everyday next with uniform tops with the exception of Tacky Sweater Day. 
  • NSU Students
    All NSU students report to the Band Hall for your NSU class until further notice.
  • Christmas Setback
    Energy Program Reminder
    • Turn off, unplug, or set back energy-using items.
    • Clean out & unplug refrigerators, coffee pots, and microwaves.
    • Close blinds 
  • BECI Essay Contest
    Beauregard Electric will sponsor an all-expense paid trip to Washington DC for four winners of an essay writing contest who are sophomores, juniors, or seniors. Please see Mrs. Peters for more information.  
  • Senior Salute Pages
    Attention Seniors!  The LHS Yearbook Staff has reserved pages in the 2017-2018 yearbook for senior salute pages.  The pages are $150.00 each and must be paid for by March 1, 2018.  There are a limited number of pages, so reserve yours today!  See Mrs. Peters in Room 131, to reserve your page and receive instructions for picture and text submission.

Counselor's Corner

  • To schedule a Parent/Teacher Conference contact the counseling office at 337-239-3971
  • The ACT will be given on Saturday, December 9th.  Students who are registered should report to the lobby by the auditorium by 7:40 a.m.  Students should bring their admission ticket, ID, #2 pencils, and calculator.  Students will not be allowed to test without their admission ticket and ID.  Calculators should be brought home on Friday.  You will not be allowed to go to your lockers.  Please see Mrs. Cryer if you have any questions. 

Seniors

Senior Awards Day is May 8th at 8:30 a.m.
Graduation is May 17th at 7:00 p.m.

LHS is offering tutoring in Math & English, Monday-Thursday 3:20 PM-4:20 PM.

Math:  Monday and Wednesday Mrs. Bowling's Classroom 226; Tuesday and Thursday Ms. Hatten's Classroom 205
English:  Monday and Wednesday Mrs. Peter's Classroom 131; Tuesday and Thursday Ms. McArthur's Classroom 611
