  • Blue Jean Day-Friday
    Friday will be a blue jean day for all LHS students and faculty for $2.00.  Proceeds will go to the Godwin family, who recently lost their home in a fire. 
  • Senior Night
    Senior Night forms are due to Mrs. Cryer today.  Senior Night practice will be on Thursday- 7th hour for football players and 8th hour for cheer, band, danceline, and flagline.  See Mrs. Cryer if you have any quesitons. 
  • Basketball Fundraiser
    The Boy's and Girl's Basketball Teams will be selling LHS 24oz. insulated tumblers for $15.00.  Tumblers will go on sale Monday, October 17th and sales will end on Monday, October 31st.  See a basketball player to make your purchase.  Please show your support for the Lady Cat and Wampus Cat basketball teams!
  • "Cinderella" Auditions
    Auditions for "Cinderella" the musical are coming up!  Audition packets are available in the choir room. 
  • AXA Achievement
    The AXA Achievement Scholarship is available to seniors who plan to attend college.   Applications are available in the counseling office. 
  • Coca-Cola
    The Coca Cola Scholarship is available to seniors with a 3.0 GPA who plan to attend a 4 year college.  Deadline to apply is October 31st.

    JROTC Physical Fitness Team competed at  North Desoto on Saturday.  They finished 2nd place overall and Kalli Powers was the top female in the 1 mile run, shuttle run, and curl-up events.  Way to go Kalli!
  • Cross Country
    Congratulations to the Men's Cross Country Team for finishing 3rd overall at the Oak Hill Invitational.  Drew Barefield finished 1st overall and Nic Teague finished 3rd overall.  Way to go Drew and Nic!

  • Fall Trash Bash
    The City of Leesville and the Mayor's Women's Commission would like to invite all Vernon Parish Youth Organizations to join them for the Fall Trash Bash.  Meet at Liberty Park (across from the Vernon Library) at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016. 

    "Cash for Trash" Organizations collecting the most trash by weight 1st Place will earn $100.0  2nd place will earn $75.00 and 3rd place will earn $50.00. 

  • Family Friendly Scarecrow Display Contest
    The City of Leesville and the  Mayor's Women's Commission presents a family friendly scarecrow display contest.  Your group may set up their creative scarecrow display at a designated location on Monday, October 17th between 4:00-6:00 p.m.  They will be judged on October 29th.  The winners will be announced and prizes awarded after the Trash Bash weigh-in, November 5th at Liberty Gardens (across from the Vernon Library). 

    1st Place:  $100.00 2nd Place:  $50.00 and 3rd Place:  $25.00
